Open Mic Event July 14th

Yesterday's Open Mic at The Noob was one of the best Open Mic I've ever hosted or been to. We had a great line up and I would like to thank our performers:
EddieGuitar Dagger - Lefty Delwood - Tasty Baxton - Geoffrey - Emily Szetey and MrJonze Independent

They all had very different styles in music and we even had a stage virgin.
But what a talent! We hope to see them back next time (July 20th 12 pm - 2 pm slt)

Because of the nice line up I got a little lost in IM's and people who kept asking me "is it my turn yet?" to really enjoy the atmosphere. I've learned from that and to make it easier for myself and for the performers there will be a queue next time!

Hopefully I will be able to take some pics then too.

Great Opening Party

Yesterday we had a blast at officially opening ***The Noob***
We saw old faces and new faces, all together we were a happy crowd.
DJ Thorgal played a fantastic set folk music.

Winner of our Best in Folk / Celtic contest was Johan Neddings
He went home with a 1000L giftcard

Thanks to some generous donations made yesterday we were able to buy an intan couples dance ball. Soo much kindness we just did not expect, but we are happy we had such great and loving people sharing a special moment in The Noob history.

DJ Thorgal Mcgillivary will be playing Folk music. Traditionals but also new folk music.
Dresscode is Folk/Celtic and we have a nice prize for the best outfit.

The Noob - How it all began

I've been on SL for a 1.5 years now.
In my first week I started working as freelance escort and stripper.
And because I wasn't bad at it, I became employed by some of the better adult venues in Second Life. The highlight was Heaven N Hell.
My decision to leave was a tough one but I decided I no longer wanted to strip or escort. It wasn't fun anymore and it became more and more like a real job.
So I left my HnH family with a little tear in my eyes.

I already had my little venue "That 70's Party!" with my good friend Thorgal Mcgillivary and I wanted to expand.
So I took That 70's down and put up The Noob.
It's defenitely not a Noob venue, altho Newbies are as much welcome as anyone else.
